So here is a cool thing that we have done on Handa Ka Funda – we are now accepting cash payments for online courses. I know that it sounds a little old fashioned and some of us (not pointing fingers towards Rohit Iyer) were initially against the idea but then again – it is just one more option for the student. Obviously, the online versions of payment like credit-card, debit-card and net-banking are available.
The list of cities in which the option to pay by cash is available are: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Pune, Thane & Visakhapatnam.
So here is how it works:
Once you enter your data in the form given on the left of every buy page, it gets recorded in a google form. It also maps the course that you have opted for and the price of that particular course. As soon as you click the submit button, I get an email saying that someone has bought the course. After seeing the email, I do my happy-dance routine which sometimes takes 10 minutes to a few hours. As soon as the dance is over, I will give you a call and confirm the sale – just to ensure that your data is correct and you have not made a mistake in entering the data. After your confirmation, I send your information to our collection agents. The term ‘collection agents’ has a negative connotation but trust me – they look and behave more like Tusshar Kapoor and less like Kulbhushan Kharbanda. If you do not know who Kulbhushan Kharbanda is, then either you are too young or I have grown old. The following day, typically in first half of the day, the collection agent will give you a call and fix up a time to collect the payment. As soon as you give the cash to the agent, he will inform me that the money has been collected. I will then get in touch with the guys at WizIQ.com where my course is hosted. They will enroll you in the course and send you an email with the necessary details. And that essentially is the end of the beginning or the point where the magic starts. Just pick the cliché that you like better.
However, if you do not pick up your phone or it is switched off when the collection agent calls, he will try again after couple of hours. If you do not pick up or your phone is off even then, he will try again after couple of hours. If you do not pick up or your phone is off even then, he will call me and inform that you are not interested. And then I will do my sad-dance routine and try to contact you to find out what happened. So, please do not fill the payment form just to ‘try it’ or ‘just like that’. You will waste a lot of time of quite a few people.
The entire process will ideally take 3 working days and maximum of 5 working days. Obviously, you can cut down the wait time by paying online (via credit-card, debit-card, net-banking, etc.)
