NPAT | NPAT 2020

NMIMS-NPAT 2020 (for NMIMS Programs after 12th) is the official entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate Degree and Integrated Degree Programs (Academic session 2020-21) being offered by constituent schools of NMIMS at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Indore & Dhule Campuses.

  • NPAT 2020 Exam Pattern will vary with the question paper sets for the exam to be held in 2 shifts. There will be 2 Papers in each shift. Paper 1 is common test and Paper 2 is especially for design subject (only for B.Des Program). NPAT 2020 will be conducted on Mid of May 2020.
    Duration of Paper-1 is 2 hours which is divided into 3 parts for 3 sections i.e. 40 questions in each section. Each section has 40 minutes. Total marks for Paper-1 are 120 marks and negative marking scheme is not applicable.
  • Paper-2 has objective type multiple choice 60 questions equally divided into 3 sections i.e. 20 questions in each section. Each section has 30 minutes. Maximum marks is 60 marks for Paper-2.
  • Paper-1 is common for all candidates and covers 3 subjects: Quantitative & Numerical ability, Reasoning & General Intelligence and Proficiency in English Language and Paper 2 is to be taken by candidates applying for B.Des Program. This test will be started after 10 minutes of completion of Paper-1.

NPAT | NPAT 2020 | Eligibility

  1. Aspirants must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination, with English as a compulsory subject, including International Baccalaureate Diploma.
  2. Aspirants who holds IB certificate / & D.P. are ineligible in NPAT 2020.
  3. For admission in Mumbai Campus, science or science vocational courses, an aggregate minimum score of 50% in PCM in class 12 or equivalent, is required.
  4. 45% marks in class 12 or equivalent, are required for admission in Shirpur Campus.
  5. Aspirants who have passed class 12 examination or equivalent from Open or Distance learning school (recognized only by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)) subject to fulfillment of program eligibility.
  6. Aspirants must hold an IB diploma with Mathematics at higher level or have an aggregate minimum score of 50% in diploma engineering.
  7. It is mandatory to pass the qualifying examination in single attempt. A single mark sheet displaying marks of all compulsory subjects is mandatory. A compartmentalized mark sheet will not be considered. For eligibility purposes, the aggregate percentage in such subjects is considered.
  8. Aspirants passing class 12 examination or equivalent part time or through distance learning/ correspondence/ externally/ open school that are not recognized by NIOS will be ineligible for NPAT 2020.
  9. An AIU certificate of equivalence should be submitted by International school candidates as an equivalent of class 12 examination for confirming their eligibility.
  10. Aspirants who have their result in GPA/CGPA should get the equivalent percentage for the same from the concerned board/university in written.
  11. The aspirants who are yet to receive their final mark sheet but are called for admission counselling will be allowed provisional admission on the basis of NPAT merit list. Such aspirants will have to submit the fees but only the submission of final mark sheet before the program commences will confirm their admission. For confirming their eligibility, they will have to submit a copy of AIU notification for the equivalence of their program to class 12 examination.
  12. Aspirants must mention in the online registration / e-admission form class 12th aggregate marks of all subjects they have appeared for not just top four, five, six or seven in ICSE/CBSE examination.
  13. At the time of admission, the aspirants, who do not have their mark sheets available, should get a copy of result from the internet duly attested by the Principal of the school/college and submit the same. Failing to do so, will result in rejection in admission.
  14. For eligibility purposes, the aggregate percentage in such subjects & PCM percentages are considered.
  15. The maximum age limit for being eligible to appear in NPAT 2020 is 25 years.
  16. Aspirants are solely responsible for ascertaining possession of necessary and requisite qualification for admission in NIMMS for various courses through NPAT 2020.

NPAT Eligibility Criteria for MBA Pharma Tech (B. Pharma + MBA)

  1. Aspirants must have passed 12th class or equivalent examination including International Baccalaureate Diploma Science or science vocational with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics Chemistry and Biology (PCB).
  2. Aspirants must have studied English as a compulsory subject.
  3. The aspirants who have their result in GPA/CGPA should get the equivalent percentage for the same from the concerned board/university in written.
  4. An aggregate minimum score of 50% in PCM/PCB is required to be eligible in NPAT 2020.
  5. Candidates awaiting their class 12th result this year are also eligible to apply.
  6. Aspirants must mention class 12th aggregate marks of all the subjects they have appeared in ICSE/CBSE examination during the online registration / e-admission through NPAT 2020.
  7. For eligibility purposes, the aggregate percentage of all the subjects is considered at the time of admission. If the aspirants have their results in percentile form, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects will be considered.
  8. Aspirants who have passed class 12 examination or equivalent from Open or Distance learning school that is recognized only by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) subject to fulfillment of program eligibility and the aspirants passing 12th class examination or equivalent part time or through distance learning/ correspondence/ externally/ open school that are not recognized by NIOS will be ineligible for NPAT 2020.
  9. The maximum age limit for being eligible to appear in NPAT 2020 is 25 years.
  10. An AIU certificate of equivalence should be submitted by International school aspirants as an equivalent of class 12th examination for confirming the NPAT 2020 eligibility.
  11. It is mandatory to pass the qualifying examination in one attempt. A single mark sheet displaying marks of all compulsory subjects is mandatory. A compartmentalized mark sheet will not be considered.
  12. At the time of admission, the aspirants, who do not have their mark sheets available, should get an internet copy of result duly attested by Principal of the school/college and submit the same. A failure to do the same will mean that aspirant will not get admission.
  13. The aspirants who have yet to receive their final mark sheet but are called for admission counseling will be allowed provisional admission on the basis of NPAT merit list. Such aspirants will have to submit the fee but only the submission of final mark sheet before the program commences will confirm their admission. For confirming their eligibility, they will have to submit a copy of AIU notification for the equivalence of their program to class 12th examination.
  14. The aspirants, appearing for class 12th examination are eligible for NPAT 2020, provided, aspirants must score the minimum cut off and produce required documents in originals within prescribed time. 

NPAT Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc. Economics

  1. Aspirants must have secured a minimum of 60% in class 12 examination or equivalent in first attempt from any recognized board including International Baccalaureate Diploma in any stream.
  2. Aspirants who hold IB certificate / & D.P. are ineligible for NPAT 2020.
  3. Aspirants must have passed Mathematics / Statistics subject in class 12 examination or equivalent to be eligible for NPAT 2020.
  4. Aspirants must mention class 12th aggregate marks of all the subjects they have appeared in ICSE/CBSE examination during the online registration / e-admission through NPAT 2020.
  5. In case of IB aspirants, they must have passed Standard Level (SL) Mathematics / Statistics to be eligible for NPAT 2020.
  6. For eligibility purposes, the aggregate percentage of all the subjects is considered at the time of admission. If the candidates have their result in percentile, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects will be considered.
  7. The aspirants who have their result in GPA/CGPA should get the equivalent percentage for the same from the concerned board/university in written.

Com. (Hons.) and 60% for B.B.A. & B.Sc. (Finance) Program.
  2. IB aspirants are eligible to apply for B.B.A / B.Sc. (Finance) program only if they have offered and passed Mathematics / Statistics at Standard Level (SL).
  3. Aspirants must mention class 12th aggregate marks of all the subjects they have appeared in ICSE/CBSE examination during the online registration / e-admission through NPAT 2020.
  4. If the candidates have their results in percentile, the actual aggregate percentage of all the subjects will be considered.
  5. NPAT aspirants must have passed Mathematics/ Statistics in class 12 examination or equivalent to be eligible for B.B.A / B.Com (Hons) / B.Sc. (Finance) admission through NPAT 2020.
