Q. Two circular tracks T1 and T2 of radii 100 m and 20 m, respectively touch at a point A. Starting from A at the same time, Ram and Rahim are walking on track T1 and track T2 at speeds 15 km/hr and 5 km/hr respectively. The number of full rounds that Ram will make before he meets Rahim again for the first time is ?

Answer: 3

Solutions:
Length of track T1 = Circumference of T1 = 2πr=2×3.14×100=614
Length of track T2 = Circumference of T2 = 2πr=2×3.14×20=122.8
So ratio of length = 614/122.8 = 5:1
Ratio of speed = 15 : 5 = 3:1
Ratio of time to cover their respective track = 5/3 : 1 = 5:3
Thus when Ram will make 3 rounds of T1 Rahim will make 5 round of T2 and they will meet at A again.
Thus the required answer = 3
