Slot – 3 – Quantitative Aptitude – TSD – Anil, Sunil, and Ravi run along a circular path
Q. Anil, Sunil, and Ravi run along a circular path of length 3 km, starting from the same
point at the same time, and going in the clockwise direction. If they run at speeds of 15
km/hr, 10 km/hr, and 8 km/hr, respectively, how much distance in km will Ravi have run
when Anil and Sunil meet again for the first time at the starting point?
4.6
5.2
4.8
4.2
Answer: 4.8
Solution:
Ratio of speed of Anil and Sunil = 15:10 = 3:2
Which means they will met first time on starting point when Anil will make 3 rounds that is he will travel for 3*3 = 9km
Time taken to cover 9 km for Anil = 9/15 *60 = 36 min
Distance traveled by Ravi by then = 36/60 *8 = 4.8 km
